Hello everyone!!! One of my most requested courses this year is a Beginner Photography Class. So…. I’ve finally decided to make a FULL DAY WORKSHOP come to life!!!
Click >> HERE >> to sign up!
This workshop will be 8 hours of hands-on learning, with a few hours in the classroom working WITH your camera (we will get up every hour to practice!), and a 3-hour hands-on shoot out in the field!!! By the end of the day, you will have a much better understanding of your DSLR camera and its settings, and will go home feeling empowered and excited to shoot in manual mode. Alongside the fabulous Ashley Caitlin, we will help take away the mystery of all the buttons and dials on your camera. You will leave the workshop feeling motivated to shoot more portraits and landscapes, and be on your way to creating better images and being in better control of your camera!!
At the workshop, we will cover the following and more:
- Understanding digital cameras and manual settings
- Understanding exposure, white balance and focus
- Techniques for sharper images
- Controlling light and depth of field
- Manual Mode: ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed
- Lens choices and focal lengths –> (We will let you know what all those numbers mean!!)
- Basic camera holding techniques
- How to use the various modes
- Exposure modes
- Focus modes
After our afternoon shoot, we’ll meet back up to discuss some post-production options, including how to get the images out of your camera and onto your computer for sharing!
All participants will also have the option to have a 1-on-1 critique session with Ashley and I a month after the workshop! We will look at the images you’ve taken the month, and discuss your progress on composition, lighting, etc., and help continue your photography education!
